BIOGRAPHY
Dr. Megha Varshney is a dedicated and accomplished neurologist with extensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of neurological disorders. Currently serving as an Associate Consultant in Neurology at Sarvodaya Hospital, she combines evidence-based medicine with a compassionate and holistic approach to patient care.
Trained at some of India’s most prestigious medical institutions, Dr. Varshney completed her DM in Neurology from PGIMER, Chandigarh, a center of excellence in neurosciences. She earned both her MD (Internal Medicine) and MBBS from VMMC & Safdarjung Hospital, New Delhi, where she also served as a Registrar, gaining valuable experience in high-acuity clinical settings.
Her clinical expertise encompasses a broad range of neurological subspecialties. She is extensively trained in the management of acute stroke, including IV thrombolysis, and has a keen interest in neuroinflammatory and autoimmune neurological disorders such as Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Neuromyelitis Optica (NMO), and MOG-antibody-associated diseases.
In the area of movement disorders, Dr. Varshney is trained in Botox therapy for refractory headaches and dystonia, and in the evaluation and management of Parkinson’s disease, including pre-operative assessment for Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) surgery.
She also has a strong interest in neuromuscular and genetic disorders, with a particular focus on muscular dystrophies and hereditary neuropathies. Additionally, she is skilled in treating complex neuro-ophthalmological conditions, such as optic neuritis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension (IIH), and drug-induced ocular toxicities.
